MUSEUM GALERIE KREMS | Type: Open Competition | Year: 2014 | Collaborators: Hoppe Architekten - Robert Neumayer, Mark Balzar, Miklos Deri

Convoluted Network. Museum Galerie Krems sits on a strategic meeting point of several incoming streets from various directions with diverse urban characters, and will play a key role in the development and connection of two other mueums as its immidiate neighbours. The urban idea reflects on the architectural idea to see the museum as an apparatus which interconnects incoming flows of public circulation and/ or transitional flows of museum visitors from the other buildings. A 3D network. The aim was to implement a circulation system that can pick up on these flows and direct them vertically trough the buildings main museum spaces and aroundthe perimeter of the building to elevated plateaus giving views back to the Danube river.
